With Springtime comes the desire to be outside and to improve our health. Some are looking to fulfill those New Year’s resolutions while others are getting ready for vacations. Here’s some ways you can improve your health—spiritually.
1. Lose some weight—the weight of the guilt of sin.
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
2. Exercise daily—walking in the Light
“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7
3. Work each day to get stronger—stronger in the Lord
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:10-11
4. Soften your lips—speak gently and sweetly
“A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger….A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.” Proverbs 15:1, 4
5. Find a new wardrobe—be clothed in Christ Jesus.
“For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” Galatians 3:27
6. Beautify your feet—tell others about Jesus Christ
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:15
