Some funerals are difficult; this one is easier. It’s been said that each of us need to live for the truth, so the preacher doesn’t have to lie at your funeral.
___________ is a good man, a good friend, good father, and a good influence. That is why we are here to honor him and his family today.
He was a good Bible student. He loved the Book of Proverbs. We often discussed Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
It is amazing how many people loved ___________ and the wonderful things that have been said to me about him as he was sick and has now passed.

He was a servant: helped my in Bible Class, helped in serving at church (driving people to the doctor), and helped in the community.
He knew how to have fun: wonderful sense of humor, knew how to enjoy life.
Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine; but a broken spirit dries the bones.
On this day, as we commemorate _____________ life and pay our respects to him and his family. Let’s work to follow the positive things of his life. Let’s thank the Lord for his faithfulness and let us encourage one another as we see the Day approaching.
