A Spiritual Checkup

Now that the year is half over, it may be a good time to take a step back and look at ourselves. It’s funny how time slips away and we get distracted by so many different things. Read the following checklist and see you’ve grown spiritually so far this year.

  1. Am I slow to speak and slow to become angry? James 1:19
  2. Have I kept myself from getting even when I’m wronged? 1 Peter 3:9
  3. Have I been honest in all of my dealings? Exodus 20:9
  4. Am I tolerant of other’s faults, remembering my own imperfections? Mathew 7:3
  5. Am I living a life of gratitude? Colossians 3:15
  6. Am I industrious and thrifty? Proverbs 19:15
  7. Do I always keep my word? Romans 1:21
  8. Have I learned to be content? Philippians 4:11
  9. Am I peacemaker in the church, in my home and at work? Romans 4:19
  10. Am I free from malice and hate? Titus 3:3
  11. Have I followed the golden rule? Matthew 7:12
  12. Am I unselfish towards others? Philippians 2:4
  13. Am I a gossip? Leviticus 19:16
  14. Do I take the Lord’s name in vain? Matthew 12:36
  15. Do I live a Christian life worth imitating? Matthew 5:16

We Christians must practice right living as well as right doctrine!
